Altas fabrics are 100% Dope Dyed Polyester and UV protected. Color and UV are part of the polyester fiber itself ,rather than the dye adhering only to the surface of the fabric. 5% of the total weight of the fibers is the UV protection agent that will give the fiber a lifespan of 7 years without loosing the strength and color under normal conditions.

After one and a half years, the material is torn to shreds. The price for this cover is consistent with covers that have up to 7 year warranties. When I contacted Oceansouth, they would do nothing because the cover was torn so badly. Maybe if it had been torn just a little, they would do something?
